Custom Creations Round Up

Jan 23, 2025

Creating custom jewelry is a personal experience. Working one on one with our clients to bring their vision to life means getting a peek into their story. Each custom project is near and dear to my heart, and they deserve a spotlight! This blog series is going to be ongoing and feature recent custom work and stories from our clients. Read on to see some of the pieces we’ve completed recently!

Opal Pendant

This pendant features an Australian opal doublet bezel set in white gold with a diamond set on the chain.  This was an incredibly thoughtful Christmas gift to J from her spouse, R, who wanted to create the perfect piece for her after she had a color analysis done. The choice to use an opal was to showcase its unique color palette- this one has such vivid blues and greens but also subtle flecks of yellow and pink. Opal is an excellent choice for a necklace because it’s a softer stone, whereas having it in a ring can make it more vulnerable to cracks, chipping or discoloration. I hope that whenever this piece is worn, it is a reminder of the love and respect J+R share for one another!

Moissanite Engagement Ring

An art deco inspired design was in order for E+J. We used diamonds from E’s heirloom family jewelry to incorporate into their love story and have reserved a few to include in a future stacking band as well! The ring features an Emerald cut moissanite center set in yellow gold, with tapered baguettes laid out to resemble a fan framing the center stone. We met E+J at another friend and client’s wedding, so it was particularly sentimental to work on this one! Word of mouth is truly at the heart of our custom creation service, and it means the world to us when clients have a great experience and tell all their friends and family!

Diamond and Emerald Engagement Set

When R+C came to us, they were already engaged but were using a placeholder ring they had selected on their travels. They had a selection of vintage and heirloom jewelry they wanted to recycle into something more updated to their taste. Incorporating heirloom jewelry isn’t just a way to save money on new stones, or to be environmentally friendly (though it is those things too!), but it’s a great way to tell your own family history. Now it doesn’t just tell the story of their engagement, but of the support they have around them.
